Over the past few days an assortment of interesting behind the scenes material from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been surfacing online. Apart from some new interviews and featurettes, we also caught wind of a collection of behind the scenes photos and pieces of concept art that have been making the rounds.
First off, thanks to Star Wars News Net, it came to our attention that artist Andreรฉ Wallin, who worked on Rogue One, as well as The Force Awakens, had updated his personal website to include a gallery of Rogue One concept art. The beautiful pieces give us an intriguing look at his interpretation of several iconic landscapes in Rogue One. You can check out a selection of them below, and the rest by clicking here. The book, "The Art Of Rogue One", is also a great resource for even more concepts.
Additionally, Lucasfilm shared some new behind the scenes photos from Rogue One on social media which are sourced to photographer Alex Benetel. Several more of the images can be seen below via Benetel's Instagram. Included are several shots of the Jedha set includes some extras and a very majestic looking Edrio Two Tubes. We also get some close ups of the consoles in the interior of the Cargo Shuttle SW-0608, and some Stormtroopers who appears to be on the Eadu set.
