One of the major selling points for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was seeing the return of Darth Vader in live action on the big screen, and the film delivered on that promise and then some!  Vader's two main sequences in the film have been the subject of much discussion and excitement.  Reprising his role as the voice of Darth Vader was, of course, James Earl Jones.  In the suit, however, was a newcomer to the Star Wars galaxy, Spencer Wilding.  Wilding had appeared in other franchises, such as Harry Potter and Guardians of the Galaxy, but even he had to admit that there was something special about playing Darth Vader.

Speaking with ITV Wales from his home town of Rhyl, in costume as Vader, Wilding said,
"This character has got so much presence - it's unbelievable. I'm just one small element of Star Wars. It's a massive production, and it takes a lot to bring the magic of that film. It's just awesome."

He also spoke about the process for bringing back Vader in the most authentic way possible,
"We studied the movements of Darth Vader.  We had a trainer who got it bang on. We wanted to keep it 'Darth Vader!'  It's every actor's dream. I'm still pinching myself!"
