With the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story a little over a month away, the film is now in it's final stages of production. One of the most vital parts of the production of any Star Wars film is the score, and Rogue One's newly acquired composer is currently hard at work on the music.
For visual proof of his progress, Rogue One's maestro, Michael Giacchino, shared some new photos from his workspace for the film. The first picture shows a set of vintage Star Wars figures atop a soundboard with an orchestra stage seen out a window in the background. The caption of the photo reads, "Normally this is in my office, got it when I was a kid and thought it should be here". The second photo appears to be an overhead view of the same stage. You can see them both below on his Instagram:
Although we were sad to see Alexandre Desplat leave the project, Giacchino really seems like an excellent choice for Rogue One. Not only has he proven his talent tendfold through many different films, there's no doubting he's a massive Star Wars fan as well. It will be exciting to finally hear what he's been working on on December 16th!
