What's always fun about the weeks and months prior to the release of a new Star Wars film is the fact that Star Wars is everywhere! From the commercials on TV, to cereal boxes in the grocery store, and toys in your Happy Meal, Star Wars is nearly unavoidable. Much of the promotional material you'll see is the result of sponsorship programs with an assortment of major brands. You will surely see tons Rogue One related promotions this upcoming Fall and Winter.
Earlier this week it was announced that Lucasfilm had reached agreements with five major companies to promote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Duracell, Gillette, General Mills, Verizon and Nissan have all signed on to support the upcoming film. In a released statement, Lucasfilm's general manager Lynwen Brennan said the following about the news:
"We are extremely pleased to be working with such a remarkable group of promotional partners for 'Rogue One.' This first in a series of Star Wars standalone films represents an exciting new era for both Star Wars and Lucasfilm, and the partners joining us on this exciting journey have each designed a stellar campaign capturing the spirit and camaraderie of 'Rogue One.'"
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16th!
