So far director Rian Johnson seems a bit more forthcoming with teases from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII compared to his predecessor J.J. Abrams. Johnson's Tumblr blog has been a hot spot of reveals during the production, and today he shared a brand new behind the scenes photo. The picture shows a grey cloak on a hanger next to a boom mic, among other equipment, amidst a rocky background. I think it's safe to assume that the cloak belongs to none other than Luke Skywalker(Mark Hamill) and the set behind it is most likely meant to be on the planet Ahch-To.
Johnson also included the caption "In the home stretch", signalling that filming may be close to being finished. Hopefully this means we'll begin to learn more about the film, and perhaps even see a trailer soon.
Star Wars: Episode VIII stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern, among many others, and opens in theaters on December 15th, 2017!
