Lucasfilm Thanks The People of Ireland in Newspaper Ad Following 'Episode VIII' Shoot

The location filming for Star Wars Episode VIII that has been taking place in Ireland over the past few weeks has now wrapped.  Obviously the arrival of the production crew of a major blockbuster film will cause inconveniences for the people that live in the area around the film sets.  Now that filming has wrapped, Lucasfilm took out an ad in The Irish Examiner to thank the people of Ireland for their support and patience during the shoot.  Check it out below,

The letter reads,
"Lucasfilm and the Cast and Crew of the 8th installment of the Star Wars saga would like to thank the people of Crookhaven, Goleen and the Brow Head Pennisula for the warm welcome we have received throughout the location shoot here in West Cork.

We have been captivated by the landscape of the Wild Atlantic Way, it has provided a spectacular backdrop for our story

The tireless commitment of our Irish crew, the enthusiasm and support of all the people of West Cork have made our Irish adventure one we will always treasure.

Go mbeidh an fórsa leat! – May the force be with you!!"

Members of the cast and crew, including director Rian Johnson and stars Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley, also thanked the people of Ireland on social media after they left the area last week.  Production crews were still on hand a few days after that shooting second unit material.  Based on the newspaper ad, it seems that filming has now completely wrapped out there.

Our friends over at the Rebel Legion Ireland paid a visit to the sets (or as close as they could get) and took some fun photos while they were out there, check them out below,
