UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly caught up with Abrams, where he clarified his comments. Abrams told EW, "What I meant was that she doesn’t discover them in Episode VII. Not that they may not already be in her world". So she could still be Luke's daughter...
ORIGINAL STORY:
One of the big questions about the sequel trilogy is the identity of Rey's parents. It's the big question fans were left wondering after seeing The Force Awakens, and it's one that likely won't be answered until Episode IX. One of the few people who knows the answer is The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams, and he dropped a hint about their identities during an interview at the Tribeca film festival. Abrams was being interviewed on stage by comedian Chris Rock when a young fan asked the question, "Who are Rey's parents?" Check out the video of Abrams answering below,

Abrams answer of "Rey's parents are not in Episode VII", seems to shoot down many of the theories about her lineage. A popular theory among fans was that she is Luke Skywalker's daughter and this answer from Abrams seems to put an end to that theory. The question remains, however, who are they and have we met them before?

Or just maybe, a Jinn, Qui-Gon has been known to be a rulebreaker of the jedi code and he seemed to get pretty close with Schmi during TPM. ;)

But if she hadn't met them, my original theory, that I eventually ditched, could still be true. "My original theory?" You ask. Well: Poe and Rey are brother and sister. Yeah I know this is far fetched, but that's why I ditched the theory. But think about about it. This would mean that Rey would have a force connection through that mysterious force tree, which could link her to Luke since he has the other force tree. If Rey's parents were the damerons then I could definitely see a force connection and that reveal would be almost as crazy as "I am your father."
...
Anyways, I don't really fully believe that theory I created, but since everyone else was throwing them in the comments I thought I would too. That being said, I believe Rey is Luke's daughter.
I believe Rey is actually a force sensitive clone of Anakin Skywalkers mother. So technically, she is a Skywalker! Finn on the other hand, that is Luke's son.
Oh, and to those who think that Luke was only in the movie for a minute... Who do you think BB-8 is? I believe BB-8 is Luke's personal drone roaming the galaxy, completely under control of Luke via the force, so whenever you see bb-8 on screen, you are watching Luke.
