With the home media release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming up in less than two weeks (April 1st digitally, April 5th on Blu-ray and DVD) Entertainment Weekly has some details on one of the most anticipated bonus features, the deleted scenes.  EW's Anthony Breznican revealed some details about the deleted scenes fans can expect to see on the release.

The first deleted scene, according to EW, will be,
In one of the deleted scenes planned for early in the movie, John Boyega’s FN-2187 hasn’t yet fled from the First Order, but he’s already a lost person. This shot is from before the troopers round up the villagers but after his mask is marked with the blood of a fallen fellow soldier. The conscience-stricken Finn comes face-to-face with a woman in the shadows of a small building. He raises his weapon ... and makes a fateful decision. (You didn't think we were going to spoil it, did you?)

The second scene, which will only be available digitally (though EW says that if you buy the blu-ray/digital combo pack you will get this as well), involves Han Solo attempting to talk his way out of trouble when the First Order stormtroopers enter the basement of Maz Kanata's castle.  Check out a still from that scene below,

EW also released a new still from the scene where Kylo Ren enters the Millennium Falcon after it crashed on Starkiller Base.  We first caught a glimpse of this scene in the trailer for the home media release of the film. Check out the new still below,

EW also described another deleted scene involving General Leia,
Another deleted sequence would have introduced Carrie Fisher's General Leia much earlier in the film as she weighs what to do after the First Order's massacre on Jakku. Emun Elliott, best known for playing Moray on the British series The Paradise and Marillion in Game of Thrones, also gets a moment to shine as the Resistance communications officer Major Brance, who receives an early distress signal from BB-8 informing them of the attack.

EW also described a scene from the end of the movie,
It features Daisy Ridley's Rey back at the Resistance base, watching over her critically wounded friend as she gets an update on his condition from Dr. Kalonia (played by Downton Abbey's Harriet Walton.)

And finally, the First Order snowspeeder toys will finally be explained in a deleted scene.  According to Entertainment Weekly,

Finn and Rey hijacking one of these devices for a desperate escape from the depths of Starkiller Base. How did they get from the interior of the base to that snowy woodland fight with Kylo Ren? This sequence will connect the plot points.

There will also be a quick scene showing Poe Dameron and the other X-Wing pilots preparing for the climactic attack on Starkiller Base
