News is heating up for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story! We're already getting plenty of hints at the plot and characters, and now it appears some of the merchandise from the film is already making the rounds. Nuremberg Toy Fair took place recently and several Rogue One toys were reportedly shown off. Below is a brief listing and description of what was revealed from the upcoming Rogue One line, along with some others from The Force Awakens, Star Wars Rebels and more. Courtesy of Yakface:
"Rogue One 6″ Black Series were shown. Main heroine, main antagonist (looks like Admiral Thrawn, but without blue skin. Black droid (Assuming RO).ANH Leia and TFA C-3PO."
"3,75″ Rogue One vehicles. Starfighter, a new kind* of Tie fighter (flat wings shaped kinda like those of an Interceptor. AT-AT with mobile app enhanced control and firing Nerf darts (Smaller [sic] than Vintage Collection). Many new 3,75″ figures for TFA, OT,PT and RO. Banner for Rogue [sic] One with a big shot of Darth Vader."
The mention of a Thrawn like character is especially interesting considering the recent rumors that Thrawn would be appearing in a future season of Star Wars Rebels. It's hard to speculate further without seeing the figures for ourselves. Hopefully we will get our first looks at these Rogue One toys at New York Toy Fair which begins on February 13th. In the meantime, it should be noted that MintInBox.net acquired photos of a magazine that included promotional imagery for Rogue One which features the Death Star and matches the Rogue One teaser trailer released last year at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16th!
Update: Sir Steve's Guide has received word from Hasbro that no Rogue One toys will be revealed at New York Toy Fair.
