JJ Abrams Talks Luke Skywalker and More on Good Morning America

Good Morning America had their first of several guests from Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens this morning and it was director JJ Abrams.  Abrams spoke about a variety of topics including the cast, his hopes for the reaction to the film, and Luke Skywalker.  Check out the interview below,


I think it's really interesting what Abrams says about Luke being a myth in the sequel era.  I never liked the way Legends turned Luke, Han, and Leia into celebrities following the fall of the Empire, so I'm really looking forward to this new story.

Harrison Ford is slated to appear on GMA tomorrow, with John Boyega and Daisy Ridley appearing on Wednesday.  

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theatres on December 18th.
