Empire Magazine revealed the names of several new planets from Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens on their website, but their magazine had even more details including a map of the galaxy from the era. Check it out below,

The map includes the new planets from The Force Awakens, including those revealed earlier today. Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that the map was created for the upcoming book The Force Awakens: Visual Dictionary.
WARNING, INCOMING PLUG: That galaxy map was generated for the TFA Visual Dictionary, btw. PLUG COMPLETE.

The map has led to some interesting speculation about Starkiller Base from The Force Awakens, specifically that it was once the planet Ilum (the ice planet where Kyber/lightsaber crystal were found on The Clone Wars). Our pal Pete Morrison from Rebels Report points out that Starkiller Base is located in a similar location to where Ilum was located in Legends.

It's definitely an interesting theory. We've seen an ice planet in The Force Awakens trailers and TV spots, which is believed to be Starkiller Base. It definitely seems plausible, though it bears keeping in mind that Pablo stated that the map is not comprehensive and is more of a sampling of the galaxy,
@SWMegafan oh, it's only a sampling. Not meant to be exhaustive.

Regardless, it's a cool theory and would be a nice nod to fans of The Clone Wars and Legends in the new film.
