New York Comic Con is going on now and earlier this week we were treated to an assortment of reveals, one of the most notable ones being some new products from Hasbro. On Wednesday Hasbro held a 'Twas The Night Before Party in New York where they revealed several new items ahead of their panel at the convention the next day. One of the pieces was a 12-inch BB-8 figure that comes with some very intriguing attachments. The following could be considered SPOILERS, so proceed reading with caution.

ComicBook.com acquired some up-close photos of the figure which show what appears to be a electric zapping arm and a saw arm. This has led to speculation that these two gadgets may be actual tools BB-8 has in The Force Awakens. You can check out the photos below:

Now we have to remember that toys are know for sometimes embellishing characters and ships with extra features that are not seen on screen. A great, and very recent example of this is Hasbro's "Armor up" line of 3.75-inch action figures which were released on Force Friday. They include an assortment of armor attachments for characters from both the Original trilogy and The Force Awakens, all of which obviously have not and will not appear in the films. But so far the 12-inch line, which has included characters such a Finn and Kylo Ren, appears to be more screen accurate. I think it's very possible BB-8's gadgetry could be taken directly from The Force Awakens. Plus, if R2-D2 taught us anything, it's that Astromech Droids are always full of surprises. Of course, all we can do is speculate until Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters on December 18th.
