Easter Eggs From Prequels, Boba Fett & More Spotted in 'The Force Awakens' Trailer

It seems following each and every Star Wars trailer released there always follows an immense amount of over-analysis of it. Earlier this week we got our first official "trailer"(not teaser) for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and naturally fans have been going wild watching it over and over again and picking it apart. One of the more intriguing scenes in the trailer comes at the 1:38 mark(above) and shows Han, Rey, Finn and BB-8 entering what we believe is Maz Kanata's castle. At the top of the shot you can see a plethora of different flags hanging over the doorway they are approaching. One eagle eyed fan named " Calithlin" on the Star Wars News Net Forums took it upon himself to look over the scene in great detail and found some surprising connections to several characters and factions from other parts of the saga.

First off, five Podracer flags appear, a clear reference to Episode I The Phantom Menace. It includes flags for Aldar Beedo, Sebulba, Ark Roose, Teemto Pagalies, Mawhonic, Wan Sandage and even Anakin Skywalker:

Furthermore, he noticed emblems from some criminal organizations, including one seen as a tattoo on Ziro The Hutt and Hondo Ohanka's Pirate Gang symbol, both of which come from Star Wars: The Clone Wars:

And as some fans almost immediately noticed, some flags feature Mandalorian symbols that can be traced to at least two notable Mandos. The Mythosaur Skull and the Mandalorian crest can also be seen on Boba Fett's armor, and another symbol bares resemblance to Sabine Wren's helmet seen in Star Wars Rebels:

It's awesome that J.J. Abrams & crew have gone the extra mile on details like this and further connecting the Saga in small ways such as this. Did you notice any other Easter Eggs in the trailer that are worth noting? Please send us your thoughts at swunderworld@gmail.com!

Be sure to head over to Star Wars News Net's Forums to see even more interesting flags!
