The anticipation and excitement surrounding The Force Awakens is growing more intense every day. The first two teaser trailers alone have broken big records, leading many to believe that the film itself will break records at the box office when it hits theaters this December. All we can do is speculate, but at least one analyst has made a prediction that will prove most impressive if it becomes true. Deadline is reporting that Morgan Stanley's Benjamin Swinburne released a detailed report on the impact Episode VII may have on the Disney company. Swinburne suggests that The Force Awakens will earn $1.95 billion at the global box office, placing it right behind James Cameron's Avatar and Titanic as the the 3rd highest grossing film of all time.

Swinburne reportedly increased his prediction by 22% because of his optimism about overseas ticket sales, which he believes will bring in $1.3 billion for the film alone. His positive outlook has been encouraged by recent blockbusters such as Furious 7 and Avengers: Age Of Ultron which earned $1.1 billion and $918 million outside the United States, respectively. He also claims that The Force Awakens will be “wildly profitable” for Disney, adding that the company could rake in as much as $350 million in home video revenues, $100 million from video games, and $75 million from global pay TV. Swinburne expects consumers to spend $3 billion a year on Star Wars merchandise as well.

The more money Episode VII and other Star Wars properties make, the further Disney and Lucasfilm will be encouraged to make more Star Wars. And we can never have enough Star Wars, can we?

We shall see if Mr. Swinburne's predictions come true when Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens descends upon theaters December 18th!
