Oscar Isaac Shares What He Would Like Poe Dameron's Homeworld To Be

Oscar Isaac is by far the most prolific of the new main trio of stars from Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and with that comes many, many opportunities for the press to ask him about Star Wars and for him to dodge around the question.  This time he was asked about where his character Poe Dameron hails from in the galaxy far, far away.  While Isaac did not reveal anything new, he did share where, if it was up to him, Poe would be from.  Isaac is of Guatemalan heritage and because of this he would hope that Poe would be from Yavin IV, which Tikal, the ancient Mayan city in Guatemala was used as the shooting location back in 1976 on the original Star Wars film.

Isaac told My San Antonio,
"What's actually very interesting is that Yavin ... at the end of the very first 'Star Wars' ... that last scene was shot in Guatemala and you know, I think that Poe Dameron is from that planet ... and that's a beautiful coincidence"

Remember this is not official, this isn't a spoiler from the film, this is simply Isaac sharing his thoughts about what he would like to happen in The Force Awakens.
