We're officially in the home stretch on Star Wars Rebels Season One. With only two episodes left, all eyes are on what will happen (and who may show up) to close out the season. The other question has been when will the finale air, especially given Rebels' sporadic schedule for the second half of the season. Now we know for certain that the Rebels Season one finale, believed to be titled Fire Across The Galaxy, will air on Monday March 2nd at 9pm EST on Disney XD. On top of that, if you were worried about spoilers due to the way episodes have been released this season, with the episode being made available to subscribers to the Watch Disney XD App, fear not. For the first time, the episode's debut will actually take place on Disney XD, meaning it will not be available on any other platform prior to March 2nd.
This was confirmed by Lucasfilm publicist Tracy Cannobbio on Twitter.
So excited to finally share that the #StarWarsRebels S1 finale will be on March 2nd!! Not available on any platform prior to that date.

My initial instinct is that this means something big is going to happen and they don't want their to be any concern regarding spoilers. With some of the rumors out there about who might show up, I can absolutely understand why they wouldn't want to release it early. Recall that the appearances by both Lando Calrissian and Grand Moff Tarkin were revealed by people who saw the episodes early thanks to the app and not in the official previews that Lucasfilm put out.
In the meantime, we still have the episode "Rebel Resolve" which airs on Disney XD on Monday February 23rd at 9pm EST, and will be available a week early on the Watch Disney XD App. Check out the previews for that episode here.
