One of the most persistent rumors relating to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is that the film will be the first Star Wars film to feature flashbacks. Naturally, questions have been raised about what those flashbacks could contain, now we may have an idea. Ro Sahebi over at ikwiz has heard from one of his sources what one of these scenes will be. Now, as usual, there's a chance this could be wrong, but if you're trying to avoid all The Force Awakens spoilers then stop reading now. This is your official SPOILER ALERT!

According to ikwiz, there will be a flashback scene early on in the film featuring Darth Vader and Sith Inquisitor. The source says, "There will be a scene with Vader and troopers, there will be a Sith Inquisitor there also. It's a flashback kind of scene." This does line up with a rumor from August 2014, when Latino Review first reported that there would be a scene featuring Vader and the Inquisitors.
The concept of flashbacks in Star Wars has been unsettling for some fans. However, I think if done right then they could fit in well with the story. This sounds like an interesting scene, and it would be cool to see Vader on the big screen again. Though, if I'm being honest, I would prefer to see Vader in some sort of vision rather than a flashback.
As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
