It has come to our attention the mighty Chewbacca himself has fallen ill. The news surfaced recently that Peter Mayhew, who portrayed the Wookiee in Episode III, IV, V, VI, and more recently Episode VII, had been hospitalized with pneumonia. Star Wars fans have understandably been very worried about the beloved actor's condition, and we're happy to report that Peter is already recovering. His wife, Angie, posted the following message to Reddit:
"Hello all!
Thank you for all the well wishes, prayers, good vibes, and happy thoughts.
Peter is indeed in the hospital with pneumonia.
He will make a full recovery, and hope to be discharged within a few days. Doctors are incredibly happy with his improvements.
Sorry for the absence, we left our tablets at home, so we have been unable to post to reddit for a bit. I'll make sure he pops in later in the day.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

We certainly wish Peter and his family the best and hope he is back on his feet very soon!
