Before
you all get ahead of yourselves, I must sadly enunciate that this article will not be imparting news of a
new movie about Star Wars vs. Avengers (I agree it would make awesome viewing
too). Instead, this article will enlighten you all on a recently compiled poll; a poll enquiring
about which film people are most excited about seeing in 2015.
Fandango
conducted this poll, which was taken by 1,000 of its site’s viewers. The poll
was unveiled last week and the results have unequivocally shown that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the
most anticipated movie of 2015. Avengers:
Age of Ultron has taken silver medal in this poll, whilst The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part Two, Fifty
Shades of Grey and Jurassic World
have merited third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
The fact that Star
Wars has conquered the number one spot on this poll will not come as a huge surprise.
The teaser trailer, disclosed a month ago, has generated a staggering 51.5
million hits. In contrast, The Age of
Ultron trailer has accumulated 62.4 million views since October 2014. The
forecast therefore would be that Star Wars will supersede the viewing figure of the Avengers trailer in the
not too distant future. Either way, Disney will be licking their lips at the
prospect of two of their colossal film projects netting a fine profit margin
next year.
All
in all however, it appears that the December release of Star Wars will be the
hottest Box Office success of 2015.
