Rumor: Oscar Isaac to Have Larger Role in Episode VII Due to Harrison Ford's Injury

Ever since Harrison Ford injured his ankle leg on the set of Star Wars Episode VII, fans have been wondering how this might affect the film.  While Lucasfilm claims that the release date has not changed, with reports that Ford may take up to six months to recover, something's got to give.  A new report from the NY Post states that fellow Episode VII cast member Oscar Isaac's role in the film may be expanded to fill some of the void left by the injury to Ford.   However, Disney reps have denied the report.

Isaac is probably the best choice to step up in this scenario.  He has experience playing the lead role in films, having played titular character in Inside Llewyn Davis.  Increasing in Isaac's role, allowing for Ford's role to be somewhat decreased, could be the way to walk the line of giving Ford adequate time to recover without halting the production.  As for whether this is true or not, is still up for debate.  Just like the reports of how long Ford will take to recover, the reports of how much the film will be affected by the injury have been all over the map.  Reports suggest there was an emergency meeting at Pinewood Studios on Monday to discuss how best to move forward because of the injury, what was decided is still a mystery.  Some are suggesting that the film will have to be pushed back (maybe to a May 2016 release), while others claiming the film will not be affected much, if at all.

As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
