(L to R)John Boyega, Jesse Plemons & Ed Speleers. |
After an overabundance of news concerning both Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars, it seems star Wars Episode VII may once again take center stage soon! Today, Variety is reporting that Director J.J Abrams and his team are currently considering at least five actors for the lead role in Episode VII. Variety claims that their sources indicate that John Boyega(Attack The Block), Ed Speleers(Downtown Abby), Mathew James Thomas, Ray Fisher and previously rumored Jesse Plemons(Breaking Bad). Variety adds that "these actors have moved to the top of the list in recent weeks", though some sources say the selection process is still ongoing. The also claim that the part is said to be that of a Jedi Apprentice.
So, how does this work with previous rumors we've heard, which claimed Han, Luke and leia would the lead characters? Could this "Jedi Apprentice" be a student of Luke Skywalker, or perhaps his son or nehpew? Let us know what YOU think in the comments below, or on Facebook and Twitter!
