Rumor: Episode VII Filming In Iceland

Could the Episode VII film crew be headed to Iceland? Thanks to our friends at Jedi News, we have a report from an Icelandic site called Visir which claims that filming will soon be taking place in the country. Unfortunately I don't speak Icelandic, and the Google translation of the article is hard to understand. Nevertheless, from what I can decipher, their sources indicate that a film crew is set to come to Iceland at the end of April to do some "plate" shooting, which they explain involves a crew taking photographs of the landscape to be used as composited backgrounds in the film. The also say the that an Episode VII crew previously visited Iceland for a week and looked at highlands and glaciers as possible places to film. Visir adds that the Langjökull Glacier(seen above) was specifically considered for a filming location.

Not only should this be considered a rumor because it's not coming from an official source, but it could also be easily misinterpreted. So don't forget to take this a big grain of salt.
