Last November, Episode VII director J.J. Abrams visited the set of Downton Abbey. Was he there as a fan or on confidential Star Wars business?

The show, which has won two Golden Globes since it's premiere in 2010 , revolves around the Crowley family and their servants. "It’s absolute soap opera done triple-A plus. The characters go places you never expect.." Abrams praised about the British drama.

Lesley Nicol, the sixty year old actress who plays a bossy yet benevolent cook on the show, expressed that "...[Abrams] loves the show, and he checked a few of [the Downton actors] to star in the film."

Downton's
Hugh Bonneville and Michelle Dockery, photoshopped  in Star Wars garb above, may be among the actors considered for roles in the next Star Wars trilogy, and could soon be seen leaving Downton's Highclere Castle set for a seat in the Falcon.

This news comes just after Variety reported that Ed Speleers, also a Downton Abby star, is being considered by Abrams for the lead role in Episode VII.
