The end of the Clone Wars is near. The final bonus content, or "lost missions" episodes of the Emmy award winning series are tentatively slated for release in early 2014. The most talked about aspects of this content is the "Yoda arc" which has been heavily teased a rumored, and we even saw a clip from it earlier this year. Today Clone Wars writer Brent Friedman let it slip on Twitter that the arc was screened at Lucasfilm for the cast and crew:
Clone Wars fans: Anybody see the Yoda arc screening this week in SanFran? I couldn't make it but would love to hear some opinions.

@BFree63 what what? #CloneWars

@jamesjawa @BFree63 That's my reaction too. I haven't heard anything about this!

@MasterDevwi @jamesjawa Just realized it musta been a cast & crew only screening. I will say no more…

I think we can assume that this photo that surfaced earlier this week is from that event:
So what does this mean? Dave Filoni confirmed that these episodes will be released next year, but who's to say they couldn't hold special public screenings beforehand? Lucasfilm hosted many screenings of Clone Wars episodes during the course of it's five seasons. Could the show be put back on the big screen for one last hurrah? We can only hope at this point.
Special thanks to our friend Andy for letting us know about this!
