One of our favorites here, Benedict Cumberbatch went on Conan last night to promote his upcoming film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and
naturally the topic of JJ Abrams and Star Wars came up. When asked by
Conan if he had been lobbying JJ for a part in the film Cumberbatch
replied, "I would just leave really causal messages on his phone as a
lightsaber". He went on to describe how he "auditioned" for the role of
Chewbacca during his recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show (with Harrison Ford).
