If you've been following the rumours surrounding Star Wars Episode VII since the beginning, the name Jason Flemyng should be familiar to you. After all it seemed, at on time, that he had inadvertently confirmed that Matthew Vaughn would be directing the film. Now he's managed to find himself back in the Episode VII conversation for a much more positive reason.
Flemyng recently posted a picture of a portion of his Episode VII audition script on Instagram, with the caption: "Pint of Stella and Star Wars script! That’s me sorted till 5!" He later clarified that he merely had an audition script and that he did not have the part yet. Check it out below (the words on the page are fairly blurred, so there are no obvious spoilers)!
To put this in perspective, it is entirely possible that Flemyng in no further along in the audition process than the thousands of fans and actors lining up across America and the United Kingdoms. However, his script has his name embossed across it. Does this mean he is far enough along in the process that Lucasfilm/Bad Robot have provided him with an actual excerpt from the script (I find it hard to believe that Flemyng is auditing for the role of 'Thomas'). Then again, Lucasfilm and Bad Robot may be more trusting with known actors and giving them a part of the actual script than they are with random people off the street. And don't forget, we keep hearing that everyone in Hollywood has auditioned for a part in the film.
As always, we await official word from Lucasfilm and/or Disney about the outcome of Femyng's audition.
