Lucasfilm Confirms No Episode VII News at SDCC

Fans attending San Diego Comic Con next weekend who were hoping for a few teasers about 2015's Star Wars Episode VII, we have some bad news.  Lucasfilm confirmed in their 2013 Conventions preview on StarWars.com that "Despite speculation to the contrary, however, there will be no Episode VII content."  While this may be a little disappointing for fans heading to the annual convention taking place from July 17th-21st, SDCC will be the place to find out about the latest news about upcoming books, comics and collectibles.

In fact it appears of the three conventions in the preview (SDCC, CEII, D23), Star Wars Celebration Europe II, will be the only place where the future of Star Wars will be discussed as Kathleen Kennedy along with "other behind-the-scenes talents who will help shape the future of Star Wars" will be in attendance.  Any discussion about the future of Star Wars seems to be missing from Disney's D23 Expo happening August 9th-11th in Anaheim, as all announced programming focuses on the past (although there are some exciting rumors to the contrary).
