Fans lucky enough to attend Entertainment Weekly's May the 4th Be With You screening of Return of the Jedi, were treated to a surprise appearance and Q&A with, Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.  Not only did Hamill tell stories of his experience filming Jedi, he also touched on the questions surrounding his involvement with Star Wars Episode VII, telling the fans "I’ve only had one creative meeting about the new films, but I do remember saying, ‘We’ve got to find a proper balance between CGI and old school [FX]."  He also confirmed that Carrie Fisher had been approached and mentioned that he had yet to speak with Harrison Ford about it (which by no means means that Ford is not involved, Ford practically confirmed his involvement in an interview last month).

So it wasn't the big announcement we were hoping for, but it's good to, once again, hear that the old cast is in talks to return for Episode VII.
