The following is a fake news article for April Fools' day 2013:

Just a few weeks ago, along with the news that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be "winding down", the article on StarWars.com mentioned a new Animated series that would be elaborated on in the coming months. Now the Star Wars Underworld can confirm, through inside sources, that this new series will be a spin-off of the Clone Wars, focusing on characters introduced in the "Droids" story Arc of Season five. Entitled "The Gascon Adventures" the series will continue the story of Colonel Meebur Gascon and "D-Squad" as they travel the Galaxy in a mysterious ship that can travel through Space... And time. Yes, for the first time ever time travel will be introduced into the Star Wars Saga. Our sources even hinted at a possible Doctor Who/Star Wars crossover, saying that Matt Smith and Jenna Louise-Coleman had been approached to appear in the series. Besides the Clone Wars many other Star Wars projects have been shelved, leading many fans to believe that Disney is shifting focus to the Sequel Trilogy. Adding Time Travel to this new series will allow Colonel Gascon and his Droids to travel to the Sequel era.

In addition to this bombshell our sources also confirmed the return of an infamous character: Jar Jar Binks. They say that George Lucas has always been unhappy with the lack of Jar Jar in the Saga,  he seemingly disappears after Revenge Of The Sith and his fate has remained unknown. Jar Jar will have a big role in the series alongside Gascon & D-Squad, traveling with the group on their various misadventures. The series will explain Jar Jar's absence from the Original Trilogy and move the Gungan's story into the Sequel era. Lucas & Disney are setting out bring Jar Jar back in a big way. He will have a significant role in Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII & IX and his back story may be explored in a future Spin-off film. A Naboo/Gungan themed area of Disney World is in the planning stages as well.

"Star Wars: The  Gascon Adventures" does not have a release date as of now. We will have more details soon about this project so keep an eye on StarWarsUnderworld.com over the next few days.
