John Williams Hopes to Return For Sequels

The man behind some of the most iconic scores, not only in Star Wars but in cinema itself, is ready to jump back into that galaxy far, far away.  The folks over at John Williams Fan Network are reporting that legendary composer John Williams revealed during a concert preformed by the Young Musician’s Foundation Debut Orchestra that he hopes to return to compose the scores for any future movies in the Star Wars saga.   Williams said:

"We’re about to play Star Wars [audience interrupts with cheers] and each time we play it, I’m reminded of the first time we played it decades ago.  Neither I, nor George, nor anyone else involved thought this would go far or in a few years there would be a sequel and I’d have to revisit the themes…and years later another trilogy.  Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016…so I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George…[more cheers]."

This is certainly something that all of fandom has been hoping for and to know that the man himself is up for it simply incredible! Williams scores are, in a way, as iconic as the films themselves and it is hard to imagine a Star Wars film without him.
