Rovio, the company behind the extremely popular mobile game Angry Birds, along with LucasFilm have officially announced their newest project: Angry Birds: Star Wars! Check out the teaser trailer for it here:
Characters such as Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca & Darth Vader will be featured prominently in their respective Bird and Pig forms. Specifically, Red Bird will become Luke Skywalker in X-Wing pilot gear. Hoth, Tatooine, and other iconic Planets will be included and John williams' classic Star Wars score will be reflected as well. A massive merchandise campaign will accompany the game, including action figures, clothes & toys. A series of animated shorts, possibly in the vain of the recent Lego Star Wars specials, is also planned. Angry Birds Birds: Star Wars is set to be released on November 8th iOS, Android, Mac, PC, Windows Phone, Windows 8 & Amazon Kindle Fire.
