Werner Herzog And Carl Weathers Talk About Seeing [SPOILER] On The Set Of 'The Mandalorian'

The first episode of The Mandalorian, the first episode of the new live action Disney+ series, ended with the big reveal that the bounty the titular Mandalorian has been chasing all episode is not a fifty year old adult, but actually a baby that is the same species as the Jedi master Yoda.

Video: 'The Mandalorian' Cast And Crew Q&A

Earlier tonight the cast of The Mandalorian, along with several episodic directors and series creator Jon Favreau, gathered at the El Capitan theater in Los Angeles for a special Q&A in front of an audience of Star Wars fans (the fans in attendance also got to see episodes two and three of the series).  The Q&A was moderated by Entertainment Tonight's Ash Crossan and featured Favreau, Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Carl Weathers (Greef Carga), Gina Carrano (Cara Dune), Werner Herzog ("The Client"), and episodic directors Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Debrah Chow, as well as composer Ludwig Göransson, .  Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy also made an appearance to kick things off.

Werner Herzog Calls 'The Mandalorian' A "Phenomenal Achievement"

At Star Wars Celebration Chicago last month we saw a lot of amazing footage and photos from The Mandalorian that got fans pumped up about it. The series, which is headed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni and stars Pedro Pascal in the title role, will be the first ever live action Star Wars TV series. At The Mandalorian panel during Celebration we were shown a scene from the series which show Pascal's mysterious Mandalorian character interacting with a shady Imperial dignitary played by legendary actor and filmmaker Werner Herzog.

Werner Herzog Gives Hints About His Role In 'The Mandalorian'

Perhaps the second most anticipated piece of Star Wars media this year(right behind Star Wars: Episode IX) is The Mandalorian. The first season of the upcoming series, which is expected to debut on the Disney+ streaming service this Fall, recently wrapped production. While we still know very little about The Mandalorian, one cast member recently went on record to tease his role in the series.

BREAKING: 'The Mandalorian' Cast Officially Revealed, Including Pedro Pascal In Title Role

After months of rumors and speculation we now have some official details on the cast of The Mandalorian, courtesy of Lucasfilm. The series, which is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, is currently in production and will be the first ever Star Wars live-action production for the small screen. StarWars.com has now revealed the full principal cast for The Mandalorian which includes some familiar names!

Rumor: Dave Filoni to Direct Episodes of Jon Favreau's Live Action Series, and Other Production Details

Production on the upcoming live action Star Wars series from writer and executive producer Jon Favreau is really starting to shape up.  Earlier this week, we got our first look at one of the sets where action for the series, which will debut on the upcoming Disney direct to consumer streaming service, will be shot.  Now MakingStarWars.net's Jason Ward has some more details about the series' production and what's going on on set these days as production gets underway this week.
