Pictures From the British Royals Visit to the 'Episode VIII' Set Confirms the Return of A-Wings

Yesterday we learned that members of the British royal family would be paying a visit to the set of Star Wars Episode VIII this week and today, that visit took place and lots of pictures of Princes William and Harry on set have been released.  One of the biggest surprises shows Prince Harry seated in what looks to be the cockpit of an A-Wing starfighter (first seen in Return of the Jedi).  Check it out below,

Good Morning America also released a special video about the royal visit to the set.  Check it out below,


The official Kensington Palace Twitter account also tweeted lots of pictures of the Princes visit, including them posing with the film's stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega as well as director Rian Johnson.  Check them out below,

The above pictures are all cool, but of course the big take away is that we'll be seeing A-Wings tearing up the skies once again when Star Wars Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15th, 2017.

British Royals to Visit the 'Episode VIII' Set This Week

The Star Wars films are no stranger to royalty, with beloved characters like Princess Leia and Queen Amidala, but some actual British royalty will be visiting the set of Star Wars Episode VIII at Pinewood Studios in London later this week.  Prince William and Prince Harry will be given a tour of the set by the film's star Daisy Ridley, who is reprising her role as Rey from The Force Awakens, and will also meet Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill and director Rian Johnson.  The Princes visit will, according to the Kensington Palace Twitter account, "recognise the wealth of fantastic British creative talent involved in the production of the Star Wars films."



Perhaps the Princes will suit up as stormtroopers for a scene in the next film.  Or better yet, maybe they'll be able to hook us up with a detailed report from the set...
