Virtual reality fans rejoice! The ILMxLAB panel at San Diego Comic-Con concluded moments ago and our very own Dominic Jones was there to give us the lowdown on everything that was revealed.

The ILMxLAB team assembled to discuss all of their current and future projects, including Trials On Tatooine, Vader Immortal, Droid Repair Bay, Project Porg, Secrets Of The Empire, and more. They provided fascinating details about their innovative work, and teased what's coming in the future.

ILMxLAB Releases 'Project Porg' For Magic Leap One

ILMxLAB, the division of Industrial Light and Magic that focuses on virtual and augmented reality projects, has released it's latest Star Wars experience. The new experience, titled Project Porg is available on the Magic Leap One mixed reality glasses, and allows fans to experience what it would be like to have a Porg, the adorable (and delicious) bird-like creatures that we met on Ahch-To in The Last Jedi, as a pet.  Fans will be able to train their Porg, and witness it growing and evolving over time.

ILMxLAB Announces "Project Porg", A New 'Star Wars' Mixed Reality Experiment

It's been a big couple of weeks for ILMxLAB.  Late last month they announced Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series, coming to the Oculus Quest in 2019, and now they've revealed their latest project, Star Wars: Project Porg.  This new project is a "mixed reality experiment", which will see the user befriending the inhabitants of the planet Ach-To, who became a phenomenon in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
