Voting Has Begun For The 2017 Star Wars Podcast Awards

The Star Wars Podcast Awards are back in full swing for the second year in a row! The event, which is graciously hosted by Andy Ury and Mike Audette, are set to crown a whole new set of winners for the year 2017.

After accepting numerous suggestions from fans for potential award winners, the full list of nominees has been released. Included are a number of picks in the categories of People’s Choice, Fanboy Host, Fangirl Host, New Show, Collecting Show, Cover Art, Editing/Production Value, Ensemble Cast, Foreign Language, Gaming Show, Intro Theme Literature, Podcasting Network, and TV Review Show

Of course, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible fans and listeners for nominating two of our Podcasts for awards. The Star Wars Underworld Podcast has been nominated in the "Editing/Production Value" category, and our Star Wars Rebels discussion Podcast Live From Lothal received a nod in the "TV Review Show" category. Nominations Are Open For the 2017 Star Wars Podcast Awards

The team behind the Star Wars Podcast Awards are back for another year to celebrate all the great podcasters in the Star Wars fan community.  Today, nominations in 15 categories opened and fans are encouraged to write in their selections for their favourite podcast in that category.  Nominations close on February 9th.  You can nominate your favorite Star Wars podcasts and podcasters here.

'Live From Lothal' Wins A Star Wars Podcast Award!

Earlier this year we were thrilled and humbled by the news that two of our Podcasts, The Star Wars Underworld Podcast, as well as our Star Wars Rebels discussion show Live From Lothal, had been nominated for Star Wars Podcast Awards. Later we were delighted furthermore to learn that Live From Lothal had made into the finals of the TV review show category. Yesterday, after much anticipation, the results for the Podcasts Awards were unveiled and Live From Lothal, along with a plethora of other excellent Podcasts, had been chosen as the "fan favorite" in their respective categories. The winners were announced on the the Star Wars Podcast Awards website, along with a special Awards ceremony Podcast. In it, the two men behind the awards, Andy Ury and Mike Audette, introduce a collection of presenters from various Star Wars Podcasts who revealed all of the winners. Thank You For Nominating The SWU Podcast In The Star Wars Podcast Awards! (Updated)

Earlier this month it was announced that the 1st annual Star Wars Podcast Awards would be taking place with the mission to celebrate the Star Wars Podcasting community by recognizing all of the fan favorite shows! The first round of fan voting has ended and the nominees in each category have been revealed. Those of us at the SWU were excited to learn this week that The Star Wars Underworld Podcast had been nominated for multiple awards! We are truly overwhelmed and humbled by this wonderful recognition.

Update: While the SWU Podcast did not make it into the finals, our Star Wars Rebels Podcast Live From Lothal did! It has been nominated in the TV Review category. You can vote in the finals by clicking here!
