On this episode, Dominic, Ben, and Chris (briefly) are joined by Din of the band F-105 to discuss the fifth episode of The Bad Batch, "Rampage".  They discuss the ways this episode explores the issue of slavery in the galaxy far, far away, and how it sets up further questions for the characters to grapple with down the road.  They also talk about whether Muchi is the rancor we see in Return of the Jedi and the latest round of canon "inconsistencies".  Then they talk about Cid's role as threshold guardian in Omega's hero's journey. F-105 Releases 'Star Wars' Themed Music Video For "Outer Space (I'm Coming Home)"

Happy Star Wars Day everyone!  Every year May 4th (as in May the Fourth be with you!) is filled with Star Wars fun, and 2021 is no exception--have you seen the premiere of The Bad Batch on Disney+ yet?  This year, friend of the SWU, Din is getting in on the fun with his music project F-105 and the release of his new music video, "Outer Space (I'm Coming Home)".  The video is chock full of Star Wars fun, and can be seen below,

Force Fest 2020: The DIY Hero’s Journey — Turning Your Fandom Into Creation

From the first ever Force Fest virtual convention, Dominic Jones (The Star Wars Underworld Podcast) moderates a discussion with musician Din (F-105 and The Soles) and cosplayer Kareem (Order 416) about Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey and how it can be applied in one’s creative expression. The discussion, presented with additional visual enhancements, is framed around Din's music as they follow the steps in the journey through five of his songs. They explore how Campbell's work, plus a heavy dose of Star Wars, provided the tools that finally helped him find an audience. The intention of the panel is to show how these tools can help any artistic creator in fandom, by demonstrating how it will help their creation connect to others more successfully!

Video: F-105's "Desert Planet"
