The Force is strong with Toronto! A special Pop-Up Exhibit for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is promoting the film downtown at the Bell Media campus at 277 Queen Street West near Osgoode Station. The Exhibit is open from 11am-7pm from Friday Dec-8 to Sunday Dec-17 but closes early at 3pm on Wednesday Dec-13.

Admission is free, and the exhibit features life size replicas of the costumes for Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, The Praetorian Guard, and the Executioner First Order Storm Troopers. Also on display is the unique lightsaber hilt of Kylo Ren. This is the very same prop that was used for filming the close up shots in The Last Jedi. It is in a glass case for viewing and photography and this is the only exhibit in Canada where fans can view props and costumes up close. There are also several TV screens playing the first two theatrical trailers and both behind the scenes videos. For those who are avoiding spoilers or new footage, rest assured, none of the new TV spots were being shown.

Friendly staff members were available on site to take pictures for fans and to hand out props to use in the photos, such as lightsabers, Rebel pilot helmets, and even a small porg! Fans are invited to pose with BB-8 in front of a large theatrical poster and can receive free X-Wing posters and trading cards after completing a brief survey. The only items for sale were exclusive T-Shirts pictured below for $25 plus tax.

In December of 2015 a similar exhibit for The Force Awakens was briefly visited by a very special celebrity guest, See Threepio himself, Mr. Anthony Daniels. Guests, contests, costume theme days, giveaways and other events featured at the exhibit will be announced via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter by @DisneyStudiosCA using the hashtag #TheLastJediTO

I attended the exhibit twice on Friday and once on Saturday. It was busier on Saturday, but there was never a line up to get in, and we could stay as long as we liked.

This family friendly event is hosted by Walt Disney Studios Canada, and was a lot of fun to visit. Even though I've already been there 3 times, I'll definitely be back for more!  Check out more pictures from the exhibit below,
