There is still over a month until the fourth and final season of Star Wars Rebels starts airing on Disney XD (read my advance review of the premiere from Fan Expo in Toronto here), but we now have the episode titles for the first six episodes of season four. The titles and air dates were revealed on Zap2It (and first reported by Jedi-Bibliotek). Check them out below,
Episodes 1 & 2: "Heroes of Mandalore: Part 1 & 2" (October 16, 2017)
Episodes 3 & 4: "In the Name of the Rebellion: Part 1 & 2" (October 23, 2017)
Episode 5: "The Occupation" (October 30, 2017)
Episode 6: "Flight of the Defender" (October 30, 2017)
In addition, Lucasfilm announced that episodes of Rebels will air throughout the day, starting at 12:30am (yes, half past midnight). Lucasfilm PR representative Tracy Cannobbio revealed on Twitter all the air times throughout the day on Mondays,
Sure - premieres are Mondays and broadcast times are 12:30a, 3:00a, 7:30a, 5:30p and 9:00p.— Tracy Cannobbio (@Tcann13) September 12, 2017
In addition, the episodes will be available on the Disney XD App starting at 12:01am.
It's interesting that the first three weeks of the season would all feature two episodes each. With the first two weeks, when the episodes are two-parters but the third week feature two episodes that are seemingly unrelated. It makes you wonder why Lucasfilm is expediting the release of the already shortened final season of Rebels? With only fifteen episodes in this season, it's possible that the entire final season could be released before The Last Jedi hits theaters in December. In previous years, even season one which only had 13 episodes, Rebels had a more traditional release schedule with episodes and the fall and the winter (separated by a holiday break, which just so happened to co-inside with Star Wars movie releases in 2015 and 2016),
Star Wars Rebels season four kicks off October 16th with the two part premiere "Heroes of Mandalore"
