Earlier in the week, Disney announced that they would be pulling out of their contract with Netflix in favor of creating their own streaming platform for their films.  The assumption was that this included the Star Wars and Marvel films, but this may not be the case.  Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos told Reuters today that the company is "still in active discussions" with Disney for the streaming rights to Star Wars and Marvel films.

This is good news for fans who were hoping to not have to add another streaming service in order to get the Star Wars films after the news came down about Disney leaving Netflix.  Hopefully this also leaves the door open for a potential Netflix Original Star Wars series somewhere down the line.
