Dave Filoni Posts Dialogue for Deleted 'Rebels' Scene Between Ahsoka and Bendu

One of the bug mysteries heading into Season Four of Star Wars Rebels (the final season) is what is the true fate of Ahsoka Tano.  We last saw Ahsoka descending into the Sith temple on Malachor after her fateful duel with Darth Vader (how that duel ending is one of the series most frustrating mysteries) and Season Four looks poised to answer that question.  Now, Star Wars Rebels executive producer, Dave Filoni has take to social media to share the dialogue from a scene that was cut from the Season Two episode "The Mystery of Chopper Base" that would have featured Ahsoka meeting the mysterious Bendu (voiced by Doctor Who's Tom Baker).  The scene seems to perhaps offer some clues as to what exactly happened.  Check out Filoni's post below,

Filoni wrote,
It just occurred to me that I never got to tell you all the story of the time that Bendu met Ahsoka Tano. It was a brief encounter, which took place around the end of the episode "The Mystery of Chopper Base" from Season Two, just before Ahsoka, Kanan and Ezra left on their fateful mission to Malachor. Of their conversation, you might find this dialog to be the most interesting:

Bendu: "You are set on this confrontation then?"
Ahsoka: "I have to know the truth."
Bendu: "So be it, but understand this, much will change as a result of this encounter, including you."
Ahsoka: "Isn't that true of all things, as time advances?"
Bendu: "My dear, when I say change, I mean death."
Ahsoka: "So I will die?"
Bendu: "Will you? I didn't know that. Goodbye then, Ahsoka Tano, former Jedi Knight."

One of the interesting aspects about this scene is that it was slated to take place at the end of Season Two, and Bendu wasn't introduced until the Season Three premiere, "Steps Into Shadow."  Hopefully we'll understand what Bendu's words mean in this scene by the time the series finale airs.

Filoni previously debunked a popular theory about Ahsoka's fate, namely that she was the giant white wolf we see in the Season Four trailer.  Fortunately, she's not.

Star Wars Rebels returns to Disney XD this fall for its fourth and final season.  Check out the trailer (again, probably) below,
