Billy Dee Williams was born on this day in 1937. Williams played the suave and charming Lando Calrissian in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

The 80-year-old has also voiced the famous and popular character on the hit TV show, Star Wars: Rebels

Williams is an American artist, singer and writer and whilst he is best known for his role in Star Wars he has acted in a number of other famous films including Brian's Song, Nighthawks, The Last Angry Man and Tim Burton's Batman.

Billy Dee Williams will be a special guest attendant at this month's Star Wars: Celebration and is featured on the special 40 years of Star Wars panel.
