BREAKING: Michael K. Williams Officially Joins the Han Solo Film

Lucasfilm announced today that Michael K. Williams has been cast in the upcoming young Han Solo film. Williams is best known for his role as Omar Little on The Wire and Albert "Chalky" White on Boardwalk Empire. It was first reported that Williams was in talks to join the film Variety last week.  Williams joins the cast of the film that also includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Thandie Newton.


Williams' role, like much of the film, remains shrouded in secret.  The film is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and hits theaters on May 25th, 2018.
