Easily one of the most immersive Star Wars experiences available right now for fans to enjoy is the amazing Star Wars Battle Pod arcade game. Found at locations across the globe, the Battle Pod utilizes cutting edge technology to put you in the pilot's seat of X-Wings, TIE Fighters and even Speeder Bikes. Earlier this year it was announced that the Battle Pod would getting a Star Wars: The Force Awakens-themed update. The update would add a new "Battle Of Takodana" level to the game which allows players to pilot a Resistance T-70 X-Wing into a battle against First Order TIE Fighters above Maz Kanata's Castle. After months of waiting, we finally have more info and footage from the expansion.
Arcade Heroes is reporting that Bandai Namco has released a new Japanese trailer for the Battle Of Takodana level, which shows off some incredible gameplay. You can watch it here:
They also report that that Battle Pods at Dave And Buster's restaurants have been updated to include the level. Beyond that it isn't exactly clear how many Battle Pods have received the update. I recently visited my local arcade that has a Battle Pod and the Takodana level was not included in the gameplay. It could take some time before the level is widely available. In the meantime, be sure to check out your nearest Star Wars Battle Pod and see if you can take a flight to Takodana!
