Star Wars Rebels just made a massive splash at Star Wars Celebration Europe! Executive Producer Dave Filoni, along with Tiya Sircar(Sabine Wren), Sam Witwer(Maul) and host Warwick Davis, participated in the Star Wars Rebels: Season Three panel on the Celebration stage and they had a lot of surprises for us. In addition to revealing two clips and tons of information about the upcoming season, they also unveiled a brand new trailer for season three. Apart from all the amazing that was seen, including new updated looks for all the characters, we also get a glimpse of a brand new character, that actually isn't new at all.
After months of speculation and rumors, this trailer finally confirms that none other than Grand Admiral Thrawn will be appearing in Star Wars Rebels' third season! Thrawn first appeared in the Thrawn Trilogy of novels years ago, written by famed author Timothy Zahn. Now Thrawn is back, and Timothy Zahn even sent a video message to the crowd at Celebration voicing his excitement and approval of Thrawn's inclusion in the series. Thrawn is voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, the brother of Mads Mikkelsen who portrays Galen Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
