Donnie Yen Preparing For 'Rogue One' Reshoots

We are now less than 200 days away from the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story! Rumors have been swirling recently(some more sensational than others) that suggest the film will be doing reshoots soon. One of the stars of Rogue One, actor and martial artist Donnie Yen, confirmed recently that he is not finished working on it. In an interview with Orient Daily(translated by Jayne Stars), Yen was asked if he would be spending Father's Day with his family, which he replied:

“I can’t. My wife and I will be flying to Japan in two days for a project. After that, I’ll be flying all over the place for some more work. I’m going to have to go back to London soon too, to do some additional photography for Rogue One.”

Donnie Yen has been doing a significant amount of work overseas recently. Both Rogue One and XXX: The Return of Xander Cage have taken him away from his family for extended periods of time. He spoke briefly about his recent workload:

“It was never really about the money. I picked up those jobs because they were a rare opportunity. I did Rogue One because my kids are huge fans of Star Wars."

Although there seems to be a lot of hysteria going around regarding reshoots, it's a common practice for almost all films. It seems now Rogue One is beginning to move into the final stages of production. They will surely be busy right up until the film's December 16th release date!
