Hype is building for the next new novel Star Wars: Bloodline. Claudia Gray, who authored the critically acclaimed Star Wars: Lost Stars, will pen this new book which is said to focus on the exploits of Leia Organa six years prior to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Last week we exclusively revealed a plethora of information about the book which you can read here. Today, Lucasfilm's senior editor Jennifer Heddle wrote a piece on StarWars.com detailing "8 reasons Star Wars: Bloodline will be essential reading". In it, she gives us some further details about story, including the fact that Star Wars: Episode VIII writer and director Rian Johnson had input on the novel. In addition, the book will uncover the political climate of the Galaxy prior to the First Order's rise to power, as well as how the Resistance came to be. It's also worth noting that Han Solo will be a secondary character in the novel and they also tease "huge revelations" in regards to Darth Vader.
