Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is beginning to make its way out of theaters we can look ahead to home video release. Today our friends at Jedi News stumbled upon some interesting info on the listing for the film on Blu-Ray.com. According to the site, it will be a three disc set, including 2 Blu-rays and a DVD, along with Google Play and iTunes digital copies. They speculate that this could mean that we'll be getting at least one disc fully devoted to bonus features. You can see a screenshot of the listing below:
Considering all the deleted scenes we've heard about thus far, it would be awesome to see them all featured on a bonus disc along with plenty of other behind the scenes content. The Force Awakens is reportedly hitting home video on April 5th. Of course, we have to take all this info with a grain of salt until we get an official announcement from Lucasfilm.

DVD??? Digital Copyright??? For what?? I hate this! Why not 1bluray,1 or 2 bonus disc
ReplyDeleteBecause a lot of people still don't use Blu-ray. It's not rocket science
ReplyDeleteThe UK market will still get screwed, Disney love ripping us off when it comes to dvd and bluray release's.
ReplyDelete@Raptor Blue, do you have a blu-ray player in your car? No? Me either, but I do have a DVD player. Take Star Wars everywhere!
ReplyDeletejdfilko is right. They will also release a DVD only version as well. I don't understand why some people are getting upset over this news. Blu-Ray owners get the best of both worlds, a copy to play on their Blu-ray players and another copy to play where ever they like. DVD owners will just buy the DVD version. You won't have to buy the Blu-ray version just to get the DVD you'll be able to get the film on DVD only. Stop having a cow man.
ReplyDeleteI would like they follow the way of the precuels DVD....the original editions are really good, with high quality(now in bluray Will be great i'm sure) but with a great extra
