Looks like production on Star Wars Episode VIII is about to kick off. Daisy Ridley, who will be reprising her role as Rey from The Force Awakens, posted a new image on Instagram suggesting that filming is imminent on the Rian Johnson directed picture. The post is hashtagged "#VIII" and features a picture of a display of flowers with a letter with the heading "VIII" at the bottom of the picture. Check it out below,
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the first two lines of the letter, or at least the visible portion them, seen in the above post reads, "As we begin this tremendous...appreciation for your...".
Lucasfilm stated that production on the film would be beginning in February and based on this it looks like they're getting the cast set for their imminent return to the galaxy far, far away. Star Wars Episode VIII is slated to hit theatres on December 15th, 2017.
