Video: 'The Force Awakens' Press Junket Cast & Crew Interviews

By: Dominic Jones

There was a big press junket for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens with members of the cast and crew being interviewed by the press.  Fox 5 DC's Kevin McCarthy sat down with Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), JJ Abrams, Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), and Lupita Nyong'o (Maz Kanata).  Check out the video below,

It's worth noting that JJ has now revealed the second word of The Force Awakens, meaning we now know the film begins with someone saying "This will...."  How that sentence continues will be revealed on December 18th!

  1. "This will be a day long remembered." I am now predicting that the first scene of the film will be the Starkiller doing its first full demonstration. This is the scene will all the troops lined up in formation. They are told to spin around (which we see in some of the shots) and then they witness the red glow far on the horizon that we see in other shots. This is paired up with the shot of Kylo Ren on the bridge. Finn will likely be one of the troopers on the planet which will allude to his saying "You don't know the things I've seen."

Since most of the OT films start with a Star Destroyer in there somewhere, I predict that oft-seen shot of Kylo Ren's shuttle returning to the Star Destroyer will be the first shot of the film as the camera pans down from the opening crawl.

  2. What happened to Gwendoline Christie's answer?! It totally cut her answer off and returned to the interviewer's response!
