With the release of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens just around the corner we can already begin to expect to see Star Wars hit the small screen as well as the big screen this Winter. Recently two new heartwarming and awe inspiring commercials surfaced from Toys"R"Us and Duracell. You can watch them both below!
First off, Toys"R"Us released a TV spot titled "Like Father, Like Daughter" which is sure to tug at your heartstrings, focusing a on Star Wars loving Dad and his seemingly uninterested daughter:
The next one from Duracell is truly epic. Focusing on a young boy and his sister, the commercial features a stunning battle with First Order Stormtroopers and also features appearances by R2-D2, C-3PO(with his red arm) and Kylo Ren's command shuttle, as well as much more:
Huge kudos to both companies for creating two memorable commercials! I can't wait to see more between now and December 18th!

The second one reminded me when I was about five and I got a ROTJ Luke lightsaber and I was thrilled. I still smack myself in the head over breaking the blade trying to make it so I could remove it (I still hate that about most electronic lightsabers and why I prefer the non-electric ones).
ReplyDeleteat 00:41 they made a snow-bb8 :)
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice that the girl - dressed as Rey - used the force to throw back a trooper - wonder if thats a hint about her character
ReplyDeleteNotice the red arm on C3po too....some hints about the movie here.
ReplyDeleteSo you only noticed red arm(which is moreover known detail for a very long time already) and force push?Guys that commercial is full of Ep.VII stuff not just of some red arm(and thsese things are also mentioned in article above you know?).And yes-I think basically anybody noticed Rey-styled girl using The Force andlightsaber.
ReplyDeleteAnd to add a little bit on what everybody said previously: the second one actually stylistically felt very much like what we've seen in trailers. Lightsaber fx (reflection of light and color), sparks coming from blaster fire... practical effects!
